Smoke Customs opened in 2018 on a simple frustration: too much of what passes for vehicle customisation is parts-fitting. A kit gets bolted on, the panel gaps go where they go, and nobody takes responsibility for how the whole car ends up.
We do the opposite. We are not simply installing aftermarket parts — we deliver custom-engineered automotive solutions, with craftsmanship, design and technical expertise under one roof. Every vehicle is treated as a unique project, designed and built around our client’s vision while holding the standards of quality, safety and craftsmanship that make the result last.
That means we do not believe in one-size-fits-all modifications. A show car, a daily driver, an overland build and a luxury upgrade are four different briefs, and they get four different answers. Our ideal customer is the one who wants a full transformation or a genuine custom build — not a catalogue order.
Because fabrication, bodywork, auto electrical, upholstery, paintwork, lighting and final assembly all happen with our own team, we control the quality at every handover point. There is no supplier to blame and no gap between trades where standards slip. It also means you deal with one workshop from the first conversation to the day you collect the car.
A vehicle is more than transportation. It is an extension of its owner’s personality — which is why the cars that leave Midrand carry the same obsessiveness that goes into them.
