We don't limit ourselves to specific brands or vehicle types. We're happy to take on work that showcases our skills and our passion for making a customer's vision real — show cars, daily drivers, overland vehicles and luxury upgrades alike.

The majority of our services are completed in-house. Fabrication, bodywork, auto electrical, upholstery, paintwork, lighting and final assembly are all handled by our own experienced team, which is how we keep quality consistent across a build.

Both. Smoke Customs is a one-stop custom shop — you can bring us a single service such as a wrap or a wheel package, or hand over a full transformation and have every stage managed under one roof.

Our workshop is in Waterfall Crossing, Midrand. We service customers from all parts of the continent, and regularly take on projects from outside Gauteng.

Every project starts with understanding your goals, and we guide you through the process with transparency, realistic timelines and regular progress updates.

We install our own ranges — Smoke Custom Forged Wheels, Smoke Customs Body Kits, Smoke Customs Infotainment Systems and Smoke Customs Nappa Leather Interiors — along with InvisiShield Paint Protection Film and InvisiShield Wrapping Film.

There is no list price, because no two builds are the same — a wheel and air suspension package sits in a completely different bracket to a full widebody conversion with paint and a retrim. Tell us what you want from the vehicle and what you have to spend, and we will scope the work to the budget and quote it properly before anything starts.

It depends on the scope and on parts availability. A wrap or a wheel fitment is days; a body kit with paint is weeks; a full restoration or ground-up build runs to months. We give you a realistic timeline up front rather than an optimistic one, and we update you as the build moves through each stage.

Products we fit carry their manufacturer cover, and workmanship terms are agreed per project — what is appropriate for a wrap is not what is appropriate for a full build. Ask us to set it out with your quote so it is in writing before the work starts.

They can. Most South African insurers want modifications declared and added to the policy, and an undeclared modification is a common reason for a claim being reduced or rejected. Ask us for an itemised invoice for your insurer, and speak to them before the build starts rather than after.

Yes — we would rather you did. Seeing a build at the fabrication or prep stage tells you far more about a workshop than a finished photo does. Arrange a time with us so someone is free to walk you through it.

Both, and most of what leaves the workshop is driven daily. Show car standards of finish and daily usability are not in conflict — it just means specifying the build so the ride height, the materials and the electrics survive real roads.

We hand over with a walkthrough covering what was done and what it needs. Broadly: fresh paint wants a few weeks before machine polishing, PPF and wraps prefer hand washing over automated brushes, and air suspension likes being cycled regularly rather than left parked on the bump stops for months.

That is usually how a build starts. Bring sketches, renders, reference photos or just a description — we will tell you honestly what translates onto your vehicle, what needs rethinking, and what it takes to make it fit and function properly.
