Restoration & Metalwork

Taken back, then built forward.

Full vehicle restorations and one-off custom fabrication — the work that has no catalogue part number.

Restoration & Metalwork

A restoration is a series of decisions about how far back to go. We strip to the standard the vehicle deserves, address what is actually wrong rather than covering it, and rebuild with the bodywork, paint, trim and electrical stages all handled by the same team.

Custom fabrication covers everything a build needs that you cannot order: brackets, mounts, tube work, subframe modifications and the metalwork that makes a modification bolt in as though it belonged there.

How it runs

Every job follows the same seven stages.

However large or small the scope, the sequence does not change — which is what keeps timelines realistic and quality consistent.

  1. Stage 01

    Discovery

We start with your goals for the vehicle, the budget, and what the build has to live with day to day.

  2. Stage 02

    Design

Concept and specification — what gets made, what gets sourced, and how it integrates with the car.

  3. Stage 03

    Fabrication

Moulding, composite work and metalwork produced in-house to the agreed design.

  4. Stage 04

    Paint

Preparation, colour and finish applied in a controlled environment.

  5. Stage 05

    Assembly

Bodywork, electrical, interior and trim brought together into one vehicle.

  6. Stage 06

    Testing

Fitment, function and finish checked before anything is signed off.

  7. Stage 07

    Delivery

Handover, walkthrough, and aftercare on everything we built.

The full process, stage by stage, is on the about page.

FAQ

Restoration & Fabrication questions.

It depends entirely on the starting condition and how far you want to go. We scope it properly up front and give you a realistic timeline rather than an optimistic one, with progress updates through the build.

Yes. Not every car needs a full strip. If the goal is bodywork and paint, or a specific area, we will scope just that.

Usually. A damaged original, a drawing or even a good photograph and measurements is normally enough to work from.

Yes. Overland builds are fabrication work with a different brief — roof racks, drawer systems, bumpers, mounts and storage that have to survive corrugation rather than just look good in a car park. Everything is designed around the loads it will actually carry.

Sometimes not, and we will say so. A restoration usually costs more than the finished market value unless the car is rare or means something to you. Where it wins is that you end up knowing exactly what was done and to what standard, which you never do with somebody else’s build.
